The works of Jean-Michel Basquiat are impregnated with this characteristic air graffitero, that reflect the result of his artistic experience in the urban world of the streets of Brooklyn. Also we find many works inside his production in which it introduces phrases, words or references, like SAMO, that was the signature that he was using.

In some works like Electric cord, of the year 1984, it demonstrates a clear archaic influence and primitivista, as well as an influence of the African American roots. The fragmentation and the decomposition also are part of his artistic treatment.

Jean-Michel Basquiat is a born contemporary plastic artist in the year 1960 in Brooklyn, New York. He died with only 27 years of age. Basquiat began his journey as street artist of New York.

He devoted himself during enough time, to live selling the T-shirts that he was decorating himself and was doing in those moments in the streets of New York. It was doing graffitis and was signing them like SAMO (Same Old Shit).
