Autumnal cannibalism. 1936. Salvador Dalí. Between the maximum exponents of the surrealism there are well-known authors as Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, René Magritte, Man Ray, Ives Tanguy and Max Ernst. Each of these surrealistic authors, they present their own individual characteristics, as well as a series of proper aspects of this movement. There exist also some feminine names, which were linked to this movement, but sadly they stayed relegated to a background, being couples of famous painters, to which them one denied the access to the surrealistic group. For his part Salvador Dalí is the author that perhaps, it makes a major use of the oneiric, as well as sexual simbología. René Magritte is the big visual and intellectual player, with his guessed right qualifications and contradictory images.
The farmhouse. 1922. Joan Miró.
Joan Miró also makes a big use of the simbología, creates extremely personal representations, transforming the reality. Man Ray stands out for his singular esthetics and his acquaintances rayografías based on stills. Finally, Max Ernst stands out for the originality in the creation of diverse pictorial skills related to the automatic writing, like the frottage and the grattage.
