The Center of Image EFTI of Madrid offers us in the frame of the Week of the Architecture the exhibition of photos about New York of the Spanish photographer Alfonso Zubiaga.

What will we be able to see? The sample assembles 14 photos of big format of the 24 that compose the series New York of the photographer of Bilbao. The Zubiaga skill is to work from the real photo of the scenery of the city, desconstruyéndola across the digital manipulation.

The history of Annie Leibovitz is like that of the modern artists, but on the contrary: it goes from the economic stardom to the financial ruin. As we comment already, Leibovitz had pawned part of his work in last February to settle debts.

Now then, the Supreme Court of New York gave to him one month to pay to his creditors 17 million euros that it owes or but it would lose the rights of his some photos, valued for 35 million euros. It seems that Leibovitz had asked for a loan for these 17 millions and was putting like guarantee his two houses and the copyright of photos as that of pregnant and naked Demi Moore in the front of Rolling Stone and the hug of Yoko Ono and Lennon.

Energy transfer, 2006. Cristina García Rodero

Maridajes is the title of the exhibition short duet that there assembles photos of the veteran Spaniard Cristina García Rodero and the young Portuguese Inês Gonçalves in the room San Benito of the municipality of Valladolid.

What will we be able to see? The sample consists of 100 images of both artists, whose meeting point is the trip as inspiration way for the photo. The images are part of the collection of Photo Colectania, foundation of Barcelona.

The course in the Mornings of Art: Arquitecturas for cities is a proposal of CaixaForum Madrid to know the steps of the architecture in the social and cultural environment.

The course will be dictated by José Ballesteros, architect and publisher of the magazine Passages of Architecture and Criticism. It is directed for students, professionals and public in general interested in the architecture. The course begins next September 23.

Our young favorite Spanish artist, Amaya Bozal, has been rewarded in July with the golden Medal in LXX Exhibition of Plastic Arts of Valdepeñas by his work sculptural Set, in the category sculpture.

Sculptural set consists of three heads, two in bronze with different patinas and one of mud retractario, placed on wooden beams of the XIXth century treated for his conservation.

Conversaciones with God and with the Devil is the title of the exhibition of young artist Irene Bou that you will be able to see on September 17 in the gallery ArteVistas of Barcelona.

Finally we will be able to see something of the Spanish pavilion of the Biennial one of Venice, which representative in this edition is neither more nor less than the most mentioned contemporary artist of Spain: Miquel Barceló.

For this one 53rd edition of Venice, Barceló has gone a little of everything of his work: they will be able to see his ceramics of big format, paintings of the series of Africa and projections of the performance Double Step. The commissioner of the pavilion is Enrique Juncosa.

We remember that the Biennial one of Venice 2009 will have his doors open until next November 22, so you have time to visit the work of Barceló in the Spanish pavilion.

It is very difficult to know what is again in the contemporary art, especially when we speak about the Spanish art, because generally the artists become acquaintances after certain trajectory and little and we know nothing of his beginnings.

Really for this reason there seemed interesting to me this project called The Carnations, which is a proposal that assembles artists and born new creators in Seville. In the video they will be able to see the works presented in the exhibition of 2008, under the title The Carnations. An approach to the young painters of Seville. This sample took place in the Foundation Chirivella Soriano of Valencia and it was assembling approximately 50 works of young artists.
